Biography
A nationalist, daughter of Rafael Cancel Rodríguez and wife of Gil Ramos Cancel. According to Gil’s published account cited in the thesis, she spent three days and three nights in a storeroom converted into a cell, was freed when her father was captured, and was rearrested the same day to pressure her husband to surrender. The first three-day period does not measure her total confinement.
