Biography

Trisha Brownlee is an independent photographer and disabled military veteran arrested by New Jersey State Police on June 11, 2026 while reporting on two community members who were observing ICE operations in Hardwick Township. Brownlee said she was interviewing the men from their vehicle and did not know that the vehicle contained guns or loose ammunition. Police charged her with possessing prohibited armor-piercing ammunition. She spent 47 days in the Warren County Correctional Center, where her family said she went without medication for Crohn’s disease, before a judge released her on July 27, 2026 under pretrial supervision.
