Biography

Tina Lowe was imprisoned for an October 1979 trespass protest at the Trident submarine base at Bangor, Washington. A January 17, 1982 contemporary prisoner-support newsletter lists her at the federal correctional institution in Pleasanton, California, and reports a six-month sentence imposed November 16, 1981 after she refused to promise not to trespass at the base again.

Source: National No-Nukes Prison Support Collective newsletter, January 17, 1982, page 2. Custody is historical; an exact release date has not been verified.

The October report confirms actual release in late April 1982 after about five months served for the Bangor protest. Five is a rounded reported custody subtotal; neither an exact admission nor an April discharge day is invented.
