Biography

Theresa Rhode was a Chicago garment-strike picket associated with the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union. The authorities imprisoned this union activist in 1926 for defying the anti-picketing injunction during the 1924 strike.

The June 30 report describes the flowers and cheers greeting Rhode after her completed ten-day service and Sunday June 27 release. It identifies Cook County Jail and the Sullivan injunction prosecution, adding welcome details within the existing case.
