Biography
Tetsuhiko Tanaka was born in October 1945 at Tule Lake Segregation Center into the family of Tetsuo and Chiyoko Tanaka. His own JCCH record documents Tule Lake confinement October 1945-January 1946 and arrival in Hawaii aboard Marine Wolf in March 1946. The record does not establish his location or continued camp confinement between January and March 1946. His birth in camp is not described as an arrest or conviction. This was administrative US wartime family confinement in the context of Japanese ancestry. No individual criminal conviction, imposed judicial sentence or exact release day is established.
