Biography
Terry J. Albury, born in 1979, is a former FBI agent who disclosed internal documents describing the bureau’s rules for informants and its surveillance of journalists, immigrants, and religious and ethnic minority communities. He pleaded guilty in 2018 to two Espionage Act charges and received a four-year federal sentence. Albury said his disclosures were motivated by the racial discrimination and surveillance abuses he witnessed inside the bureau.
