Biography
Sarah Rice was arrested on February 7, 1936 during an unemployment demonstration at Precinct 19 Home Relief Bureau in New York. The Daily Worker of February 25 reports that the protesters demanded increased relief and clothing allowances, and that these three still faced disorderly conduct proceedings while charges against twenty-six others had been dismissed. The report does not establish an individual release date or sentence.
