Biography
Samuel O. Chinn was an Industrial Workers of the World member imprisoned during the Spokane free speech fight. The University of Washington IWW History Project records his death on March 18, 1910 from untreated injuries following a jail beating. The IWW’s contemporary With Drops of Blood pamphlet also names Samuel Chinn and attributes his death to injuries inflicted in Spokane County Jail. His individual arrest date, charge, sentence and the location of his death after the beating have not been established.
