Biography
Ryan Daniel Lewis, age 21, was convicted of conspiracy and attempted arson in connection with the December 2004 ELF-claimed firebombing attempts at Lincoln and Auburn, California housing developments. Sentenced to 72 months federal prison.
Arrest chronology review October 13, 2026: The contemporary Chronicle court report places arrest on February 9, 2005; the contemporaneous Indybay report gives February 8. Both contradict the legacy May date. February is recorded at month precision; no exact admission is inferred from arrest or arraignment. The unsupported exact total is cleared. Actual release day and the conflicting March 2006 sentencing-day lead remain unresolved.
Official endpoint review October 13, 2026: The Bureau of Prisons' full Ryan Daniel Lewis lookup returned one match, register 15591-097, age 43, with noncustody dated October 14, 2010. The full name and age agree with the contemporaneous arrest report's 21-year-old Ryan Daniel Lewis in February 2005. The former year-only 2010 endpoint is refined to that federal noncustody day. This supersedes the release-day gap noted in the earlier review, not the unresolved admission or sentencing-day discrepancy. The endpoint does not establish the end of supervision or separate custody; no exact duration is reconstructed. Existing photograph is retained.
Contemporary sentencing account and its limits
Page4 reproduces a Sacramento Prisoner Support account saying Lewis was sentenced on Friday March17,2006 to six years after pleading guilty to two attempted-arson counts and one arson count, with three years of subsequent supervision and $243,000 restitution. This independently records that contemporary March17 account but does not resolve the separately preserved March16 court-report lead. It provides no actual prison admission or release day, and six years is an imposed term, not time proved served. The editors’ interpretation of his contact with investigators is attributed advocacy commentary, not a new judicial finding.
