Biography

Roy Rudd chaired the Norfolk tenants' rent-strike committee. The November 10, 1932 Daily Worker names him and Unemployed Council organizer Joe Benson as still jailed, with appeal bonds of $500 each. It says Judge Sargent refused a motion to reduce the bonds. The article supplies neither Rudd's original charge nor his individual sentence. No exact jail admission, physical discharge date or total custody duration is supplied. Source: https://www.marxists.org/history/usa/pubs/dailyworker/1932/v09-n269-NY-nov-10-1932-DW-LOC.pdf#page=3
