Biography
Nadeau (Hawaii soldier, 1925) was one of the soldiers individually named as arrested February 19, 1925, in the Schofield Barracks Communist prosecution. The April 23 report says the men had been held incommunicado since arrest. It provides this surname without a reliably established full name. The roster and another passage disagree about the collective number of soldiers; no extra identity or individual sentence is inferred. The Young Worker identifies this imprisoned Schofield Barracks soldier as Roderick Nadeau. The connection is the same Hawaiian military prosecution already recorded under his surname. No additional arrest or completed duration is established. Young Worker, April 4, 1925, original PDF page 1. Paul Crouch identifies his fellow soldier as Roderick P. Nadeau in the same Hawaii Communist organizing prosecution (printed page 22), explaining that Nadeau insisted on sharing the risks of the published soldiers’ letters. The continuation includes Nadeau among those arrested. This resolves the given name and middle initial without expanding the initial or inferring a common completed custody total.
