Biography
Rachel Jean Pope was arrested during a June 24, 2025 protest against immigration enforcement outside the ICE office in South Portland, Oregon. Federal prosecutors alleged that Pope picked up a crowd-control canister and threw it toward officers. Pope remained in federal custody until a first court appearance on June 26, when a magistrate judge ordered release on conditions.
