Biography
Polly H. Mann was born in Lonoke, Arkansas, and co-founded Women Against Military Madness (WAMM) with Marianne Hamilton at Loretta's Tea Room in Minneapolis in fall 1981, alongside eight other women. WAMM became a frequent partner of the Honeywell Project and Mann was repeatedly arrested at Honeywell shareholder-meeting actions through the 1980s. Ran for U.S. Senate as an independent in 1988 with the motto "Speak Truth to Power," and remained active into her 100s. Died at age 103.
Individual custody dates remain unresolved
North Star Legal Foundation v. Honeywell Project, 355 N.W.2d 186, is a civil taxpayer lawsuit, not Mann's individual criminal prosecution. It describes mass arrests on April 18 and October 24, 1983, but supplies no individual custodial endpoints for Mann. The unsupported October 23 arrest and admission dates are therefore removed. Mann's own February 5, 1996 MPR interview confirms a five-day jail stay, apparently in the Ramsey County workhouse, but does not date it or link it to this case. No date or served-day counter is inferred from that recollection. Existing identified portrait retained.
