Biography

Pete Blazin was a Zeigler miner and checkweighman named among arrested progressive miners prosecuted over the assault on D. B. Cobb after the August 11, 1925 union meeting. Tom Bell’s February 13, 1926 account says Blazin had exposed inaccurate coal weighing and describes witnesses placing him outside the hall during the fight. These are attributed defense allegations and alibi evidence, not a verdict. The earlier arrest is established without a precise booking day, discharge or completed duration.
