Norman Ramírez Talavera was arrested in the August 30, 1985 Macheteros sweep. He describes an initial pretrial stay followed by bail, not uninterrupted imprisonment until 1999. Convicted in the Wells Fargo-related federal prosecution, he received five years and a $50,000 fine on June 8, 1989. This fills a blank vital date; its broad custody-since wording does not override the independently recorded bail gap or actual1994 release.
