Biography
Page 2 reports Noble Higgins had just been released from the county jail after a ninety-day sentence imposed by Judge Carpenter for taking white WPA foreman Bob Saylor's revolver. Higgins said he obtained it from Luther Brown, who had disarmed Saylor during the airport confrontation of December 5, and that he intended to prevent a shooting. The newspaper situates the prosecution within racial repression of Black relief workers. It reports actual release but gives no exact custody endpoints or independently measured service total.
