Biography
Myer Klig was a Russian-born labor activist who had lived permanently in the United States since 1941. Immigration authorities began deportation proceedings in 1947 based on alleged membership in the Canadian Communist Party from 1929 to 1932. On March 4, 1958 the Justice Department acknowledged error and began canceling the order. The reviewed record does not establish that Klig was detained.
