Biography
Mukhtar Albakri was identified among the Lackawanna Six in FBI official John S. Pistole’s April 14, 2004 statement. The statement says he was rendered from Bahrain to the United States pursuant to an arrest warrant; it does not fix his physical U.S. admission day. All six were indicted October 21, 2002. The FBI reported guilty pleas, cooperation and sentences ranging from seven to ten years for the group. The statement alleges travel to an Al Qaeda training camp in Afghanistan in 2001; this characterization is attributed to the FBI. It does not identify each individual sentence length, actual discharge or complete time served. The historical account supplies no current custody status.
