Biography

Shafal Mosed was identified among the Lackawanna Six in FBI official John S. Pistole’s April 14, 2004 statement. The statement dates his arrest near Buffalo, New York to September 13, 2002. All six were indicted October 21, 2002. The FBI reported guilty pleas, cooperation and sentences ranging from seven to ten years for the group. The statement alleges travel to an Al Qaeda training camp in Afghanistan in 2001; this characterization is attributed to the FBI. It does not identify each individual sentence length, actual discharge or complete time served. The historical account supplies no current custody status. The documented case chronology records custody endpoint September 1, 2009. This is the actual administrative end of the Bureau of Prisons term. Its last listed unit was a residential reentry management office; that record does not establish when physical prison ended. An exact physical-imprisonment total is therefore not stated.
