Biography

Morris Goldman was arrested at the August 1, 1929 Los Angeles Plaza antiwar demonstration after bringing a truck carrying placards. The August 2 dispatch describes police changing an initial criminal-syndicalism accusation to a misdemeanor and moving the prisoners from Central station to the locally named Georgia station. It gives no physical release or complete duration. The M. Goldman listed among earlier-week arrests may be the same person, but is not counted as an additional episode without evidence of an intervening release.
