Biography
Michael Alexander was listed among silk-strike pickets arrested in Clifton, New Jersey, in the Revolutionary Age of August 29, 1931, pages 1-2. The newspaper describes police interference with strike picketing and reports disorderly-conduct charges and release on $10 cash bail. It says thirty-three were arrested, while its printed roster contains thirty-two names. No individual arrest day, release day, final verdict or complete time served is established. The arrest month is an approximate August 1931 anchor. This contemporary Communist Party (Majority Group) account is attributed to the newspaper.
