Biography
Matthew Crozier, an Esquire Magazine writer, was charged with Rod Coronado in 2005 for entering Sabino Canyon outside Tucson, Arizona to disable mountain-lion traps the Arizona Game and Fish Department had set. Sentenced to time served, 3 years probation, $1,000 fine, and 100 hours community service.
Contemporary custody chronology
The Warrior Wind, issue1 (February2006), p6 reports December2005 guilty findings against Rod Coronado and Matt Crozier in the Sabino Canyon mountain-lion case, and expressly says both remained free awaiting a scheduled March8,2006 sentencing. That scheduled hearing is not proof of actual sentencing or prison admission on March8. The account also means that a December2005 event cannot by itself establish unbroken custody through the later sentencing; an actual earlier release/admission record is still needed.
