Biography
Marion Bachrach was a Communist Party journalist, an aide to former congressman John Bernard, and the sister of attorney John Abt. Federal agents arrested her in the second Foley Square Smith Act roundup on June 20, 1951. She was released on bail, and her case was later severed because she had terminal cancer. She was never tried or convicted.
