Biography
Louis Statu, also printed Status in the same article, was a militant textile striker selected to attend a Workers International Relief conference. The August 28, 1931 Daily Worker reports that police took him from bed at one o'clock the previous morning on a charge of assaulting a strikebreaker, shortly after strikers elected their relief delegation at Turn Hall in Paterson. The article calls the charge trumped up. His name is not silently expanded or corrected beyond the source variants; no outcome or duration is established.
