Biography
Lewis Lubka was a General Electric worker and union shop steward in Louisville. He lost his job after refusing to testify in the investigation that followed the bombing of the Wade family’s home. A grand jury indicted him on November 4, 1954 for conspiracy under Kentucky’s sedition law because of his support for the Black family’s move into a segregated neighborhood. The charge was later dismissed, and the reviewed record does not establish that Lubka was confined.
