Biography

Anti-nuclear activist facing a separate August 3, 1976 trial over cutting a fence at the Trident submarine base. Whitnack’s letter reports Raymond seized in the Seattle courtroom on July 20 while protesting Whitnack’s jailing, dragged into a holding tank and charged with assault on a marshal. Attorney John Ziegler secured personal-recognizance release that night. No conviction, three-year sentence, or custody in the separate fence case is established.
