Larry Mack

Larry Mack was the section leader of the Queens branch of the Black Panther Party and a fugitive defendant in the Panther 21 conspiracy case. He avoided the April 2, 1969 raids and went underground. In late June 1970, Mack and Sekou Odinga traveled through Cuba to Algiers, where they received refuge and helped prepare the Black Panther Party’s International Section headquarters for its September opening. Mack remained with the Algiers group through at least April 1971. The surviving public sources reviewed for this pass do not establish when he left Algeria, whether he returned to the United States or his later life; the profile therefore records a historical exile without treating it as continuing today.
