Biography

L. Cohen was one of five pickets arrested outside London Dress Company, 245 Seventh Avenue, New York, on the morning of January 14, 1932. The January 15 Daily Worker names this picket with Rose Medoff, Wiener, Schwartz and the other initialed defendant while reporting an Industrial Union strike and a neighborhood demonstration in support of the workers. The source supplies only the initial L. and surname Cohen; this record is qualified by the documented event and does not establish a full given name or a link to another namesake. It gives no individual statutory charge, verdict, sentence, release day or completed custody duration.
