Biography
Kevin Chianella is a U.S. anarchist who participated in the June 26, 2010 protests against the G20 summit in Toronto. Canadian authorities accused him of offenses connected with property damage and confrontations during the demonstrations. Chianella surrendered to U.S. marshals on February 28, 2013, waived extradition, and was transferred to Canadian custody on March 5. After release on bail, he pleaded guilty on February 13, 2014 to 16 of the original 53 counts and received a 24-month federal penitentiary sentence. Contemporary prisoner-support reports placed him first at Joyceville Institution and later at Beaver Creek Institution.
