Kazumi Matsumoto was an Issei carpenter living in Kalaheo, Kauai. JCCH records December 1941 arrest, Wailua County Jail and Sand Island confinement, then mainland transfer March 1942. Listed US confinement includes Angel Island March-April 1942, Fort Sill April-May 1942, Camp Livingston June 1942-June 1943, Fort Missoula June 1943-April 1944 and Santa Fe April 1944-December 1945. He returned to Honolulu aboard Shawnee in December 1945. His case belongs to US wartime civilian incarceration of Hawaii residents of Japanese ancestry; the archive does not establish an individual criminal conviction.
