Biography

Katsuichi Miho was an Issei owner of the Miho Hotel in Kahului, Maui. JCCH documents his December 1941 arrest, detention at Maui County Jail and Sand Island, and transfer to mainland US Army and Justice Department camps in March 1942. His confinement included Angel Island, Fort Sill, Camp Livingston, Fort Missoula and Santa Fe. Santa Fe custody is recorded April 1944-November 1945. He returned to Honolulu aboard the Yarmouth in November 1945. This was administrative wartime civilian internment, not a documented criminal conviction.
