Biography

Katelyn Skye Seitz, who publicly identifies themself as Skye Jones, was arrested during a January 9, 2026 demonstration outside the federal immigration building in Santa Ana, California. The protest followed the killing of Renee Good by a federal immigration agent in Minneapolis. A federal complaint accused Seitz of throwing an orange traffic cone, resisting arrest, and striking an officer. Seitz spent the weekend in Santa Ana City Jail and was released after an initial hearing on January 12.

Procedural source verification

The March 5, 2026 court calendar for Judge Fred W. Slaughter schedules a 10 a.m. change-of-plea and sentencing hearing in SACR 26-00021-FWS and lists Seitz as on bond. A calendar establishes a scheduled hearing, not that the hearing actually occurred or any plea or sentence entered. The former wording that the hearing was held has been qualified; the January 9–12 custody dates are unchanged.
