American Indian Movement member (wife of Dennis Banks) cleared with the other 'Loud Hawk' defendants of the 1975 Oregon firearms/explosives charges. The Black Panther Vol. 15 no.6 (1976) renders the name 'LaMook Banks.'
The Black Panther reported in May 1976 that Judge Robert C. Belloni dismissed the Oregon federal firearms and explosives charges against Dennis Banks, his wife, Russell Redner and Kenneth Loud Hawk because of government delay. This was a court disposition in the Oregon prosecution; the report does not establish a physical release or the outcome of later proceedings.
Testifying as Darlene Nichols Ecoffey in John Graham’s trial, Kamook recalled sharing an Oregon jail cell with Aquash and being transferred to Kansas. She distinguished the dismissed Oregon charges from a Kansas guilty plea resulting in three years’ probation.
