Biography

Joseph Behemer, whose surname is retained as printed, was a member of the union legal committee during the Camden RCA strike. A July 10, 1936 dispatch says he was arrested after going to obtain information from Rosco DeLuco, a worker reported beaten by police. Judge Lewis Liberman found him guilty and imposed a suspended sentence. The report supplies neither a specific charge nor exact arrest date or duration.
