Biography
Jose Manuel Mojica joined a June 7, 2025 demonstration against immigration raids in Paramount, California. Federal agents arrested him during a confrontation and accused him of assaulting or impeding officers. Mojica said he had tried to de-escalate the encounter and that officers injured him while taking him to the ground. He spent two nights in jail and was released with an ankle monitor. Federal prosecutors then moved to dismiss the charge in the interest of justice after video of the arrest became public.
