Biography
John Sherman met Ed Mead at McNeil Island federal prison in the late 1960s and later joined the George Jackson Brigade. He was wounded and captured during the January 23, 1976 Tukwila bank robbery, freed from custody by Mark Cook on March 10, 1976, and recaptured with Therese Coupez and Janine Bertram on March 21, 1978. Sherman was convicted in federal court in July 1978, escaped from USP Lompoc in March 1979, was recaptured in Golden, Colorado, on December 17, 1981, and was released on parole in 1998. He later became a spiritual teacher.

It separately dates the end of parole supervision to August 2007; that is not another prison release.
