Biography
John L. Seebach, from Minneapolis, Minnesota, was convicted for writing three letters against the war. He served in Leavenworth Penitentiary from September 2, 1918, to February 14, 1920. In upholding the conviction, the appeals court held that the Constitution does not include an "invitation to destroy the fundamental structure of government."
