Biography
John Janosco was a Hungarian-born western field representative of the United Packinghouse Workers. Immigration authorities arrested him in 1957 and sought to deport him for alleged Socialist Workers Party membership from 1937 to 1940. In March 1958 an immigration hearing officer found that the government had not substantiated the charge and terminated the proceeding. The reviewed record does not establish Janosco’s release date after his arrest.
