Biography
Jimmy Johnson was individually named among San Diego Black Panthers arrested on July 16, 1969 while going to a breakfast-program meeting called by Father Curran of Christ the King Church at St. Andrews Episcopal Church. The newspaper reports concealed-weapon and grand-auto-theft allegations and twelve hours of actual City Jail confinement for the three men and Gloria Shields. It characterizes the arrests as harassment of the party. The collective report does not give an individual later release day or final outcome; the report does not establish a completed sentence.
