Biography
Jay Anthony Villarreal was arrested on July 2, 2025 after driving from Texas toward Washington, D.C. with three firearms, ammunition, and other equipment while posting that he intended to overthrow the federal government and seeking military veterans to join him. A jury convicted him of transmitting a threat, and on September 23, 2026 he was sentenced to 27 months in federal prison with credit for about a year already served.
