Biography
Jacob Blake Sr., father of Jacob Blake Jr. and a founder of Families United Against Police Brutality, was arrested while supporting the July 2022 Jayland Walker protests in Akron.
The complaint says he was injured during the arrest, taken to Akron General for treatment, and arraigned and released on July 12. It does not establish a continuous six-day jail stay between the arrest, hospitalization and arraignment. It reports that all charges were dismissed or resulted in acquittal by May 15, 2023. No jail-admission date or total duration is inferred.
