Biography

Jack Reynolds was taken to a Detroit police station during a 1925 protest at the Polish consulate against the threatened execution of Polish Communist Stanislav Lanzutsky. Ruth Fern’s account in the April 4 Young Worker describes an initial group dismissal and a return to the demonstration, followed by Reynolds being taken again to the station after refusing a plainclothes officer’s order to move on while his car blocked traffic. The second detention’s release and complete duration are unknown.
