Biography

Jack Dubitsky was a Communist League member jailed for organizing leaflet distribution demanding free food for workers’ children at New Utrecht High School. The November 27, 1931 Daily Worker explicitly says the two defendants were sent to jail the preceding day, November 26, after defending their own case and asserting the right to organize for unemployment relief. It reports 2 days imposed. Actual commitment is recorded separately from the imposed term: the source supplies no later release or proof the whole sentence was served.
