Documented aliases and historical prison number
The Winter 1987 Breakthrough roster lists Isma-El Rahim, state name Alfred Monroe, number 67-A-112, at Auburn. This documents custody when the roster was compiled, not its beginning or end. Original roster, printed page 43 / physical page 45.
The original civil-rights opinion names Alfred Monroe as Ismail Abdur Rahim and describes his confinement at Greenhaven in 1976. UCLA's catalog of Yuri Kochiyama's March 4, 1978 letter likewise identifies Alfred Monroe as Ismail A. Rahim. These are identity and custody-context sources, not dated arrest or release records. No dates are inferred from the prison number, court filing, or roster publication; no unlabeled group photograph is assigned as his portrait. Monroe v. Bombard, 422 F. Supp. 211 (1976); UCLA correspondence catalog.
