Biography
Isadore Izen was arrested June 16, 1933 at Coney Island beach after protesting police beating a peddler. The Daily Worker of August 10, 1933, page 3, names Tense and Izen as charged with inciting to riot and reports their trial scheduled that morning at Special Sessions in Brooklyn, with International Labor Defense representation. The announcement establishes the earlier arrest, but supplies no trial verdict, sentence, release day or continuous period of custody.
