Biography

Young Communist League speaker Impe Wiitala was arrested by Ely city police chief Nankervis after police and company guards disrupted a mass protest. The account says police pulled her hair and that she subsequently announced the meeting’s protest against police brutality. She was released after the confrontation; exact release day and total detention are unreported. The May 26 report describes a Friday demonstration attended by fifteen hundred but gives no explicit calendar day, formal charge, final verdict or complete duration.
