Biography

Ida Langer, wife of Newark fur-workers leader Morris Langer, is individually named by Grover among 23 people arrested when police broke up three Communist election rallies in summer 1932 at Charlton and Spruce streets. Earlier in January 1931 she looked after Rebecca Brodkins daughters after police arrested their mother. The history supplies no exact individual summer arrest day or complete custody duration.
