Biography

Bronx-born; cum laude Columbia 1966 (sociology); SDS regional director 1968. Co-author of the June 1969 Weatherman statement, Days of Rage participant. Named in the April 2, 1970 Weatherman federal indictment. Led the West Coast Weather Underground collective in San Francisco. Surrendered May 11, 1978. Charges dismissed for lack of court-ordered electronic surveillance. Earned MA from SF State; taught high school in North Carolina; directed teacher-training program at UNC Chapel Hill until his death in Durham July 24, 2024.
