Biography
Herbert Stredwick was a leader of the IWW's San Pedro, California, office and a Construction Workers and Marine Transport Workers delegate from Seattle, Washington. Herbert Stredwick was convicted at the mass IWW trial in Sacramento and sentenced to five years in prison. He sewed in Leavenworth Penitentiary. He had a wife and one child.
The March1922 official report lists Herb Stredwick in List1 of convicted prisoners or parolees. The government entry reports Conspiracy (espionage act). a sentence of January 17, 1919, 5 years at Leavenworth.. Imposed terms, projected term-expiration dates, parole eligibility and intervals on bond are different measures; none is entered as a complete actual custody total.
