Biography

Marshall identifies Lynch as a Marietta, Pennsylvania resident arrested in the election-period operation described in the preceding Morton account. He was accused of desertion and confined with Morton in Lancaster County Prison. The narrative says the charge was unsupported and records unconditional release on November 10, 1864. It supplies no verified military-service history for Lynch. Source: John A.
